Hello my beautiful crocheters, today I’ll show you how to crochet a beautiful lace scarf.
I’ve made this scarf for my beautiful sister and she is crazy in love with it. She wears it all the time: in spring and autumn as a lovely scarf, in cool summer evenings to cover her shoulders and in winter: the city slicker knot it looks lovely with her coat.
Tip: how to make a city slicker knot: fold the scarf in half lengthwise and wrap it around your neck, then pull the loose ends through the loop that was created by the fold.
If it’s easy for you to learn from a video, I’ve made a youtube tutorial, that you can see below, to show you how it’s done, just hit “play”.
The chart:
For my sister scarf I used cotton yarn and 2mm hook. This pattern is very easy to crochet even for beginners.
You will need:
350g cotton yarn (use your favorite brand);
2mm hook (or what hook size is indicated on the label);
Here are a few recommendations for the yarn you could use for this pattern:
This is a very high quality cotton yarn. The mercerisation process gives cotton a fantastic sheen and makes it even more durable. The color chart includes plenty of gorgeous colors, you just have to decide what color you like and get started. Here you can buy the yarn: http://www.iceyarns.com/git/350/camilla-cotton-rose-pink
Superior quality cotton in all the colors you love, made from 100% soft and natural fibers. This fine cotton will give this pattern a nice texture and look. You can buy the yarn here: http://www.iceyarns.com/git/350/natural-cotton-fine-light-pink-fnt2-56718

You can wash it by hand or in a washing machine at 30 degrees, and block it (if you used cotton you can iron it). Now you can enjoy your new and beautiful scarf!
Hi,
Beautiful pattern and the pink is so pretty. On some of the pictures it looks like a triangle scarf. Is it just the way it’s photographed or is there a triangle scarf pattern somewhere? Or would it be easy to adapt. Thank you for the pattern
Thank you! This is not a triangle scarf, it’s just the way I’m wearing it in that photo, with one corner outside.
This is a lovely pattern but I am getting confused on where the repeats are if you need to make it bigger?

problems witһ hacкers and I’m ⅼookіng аt alternatives for
another platform. I woᥙld be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
I’m using WordPress. I have the blog since June, until now I haven’t any problem.
Do you think this would work ok with mandala yarn. It’s a 4 yarn. Also would you please email me the pdf
Thanks
I don’t know how it will look with mandala yarn, but you can try to make a sample: 28 chains and work the pattern for 12 rows, that way you will see how the pattern looks like and how many chains you will need for a scarf. I will send you the pdf on email.
please may I have the PDF version of this pattern
Sure, I will send you on email.

Hi, Jane again, See you have a PDF version without all the pictures, would sure like a copy. Thanks
I will send you right now.
Hi, I am working on the pattern, but struggling with how to get row 1 done for the next 12 row repeat to make it longer, please let me know how.
Thank You
Jane
This pattern ask for multiple of 14 chains, I wrote the pattern for 28 for helping everyone to understand how to continue the pattern. Maybe the video will be more helpful, and easier to understand the pattern.
Is very simple: you work 14 stitches as the pattern says and then work from the first dc repeating the pattern.
Hi, I have also completed the first 12 rows but am not sure how to carry on with the pattern. Can you let me know how to work row 13 please?
I think the easier way is this: if look at the row 12 you will see that is exactly like row 4, so after you make the 12 row you continue with row 5 (so the 13 row is like row 5, row 14 is like row 6, row 15 is like row 7, row 16 is like row 8, row 17 is like row 9, row 18 is like row 10, row 19 is like row 11, row 20 is like 12, row 21 is like row 5, and you repeat like that).
Brilliant! Thanks so much and also for the quick reply!
You’re welcome!
I’ve been trying to increase this pattern to create the scarf, but have not had any luck figuring out the correct sequence. Do you have the actual pattern for the scarf available?

Kan het patroon ook in het Nederlands
I’m sorry, I don”t know dutch.
I want to make this scarf wider. You mention to increase in multiples of 14 chain. I am not sure how to change the pattern to include more stitches. Where do I repeat the pattern from? Hope you understand what I am asking. Thanks for your help.
Beautiful scarf and my favorite color! Thank you!😊
Thank you!
Wow il est magnifique!!!
Bravo 😊
Thank you!
Hi, beautiful scarf. Please could you let me know what thickness of cotton yarn you used? Thanks!
Thank you,the thickness is 1,3-1,5 mm; 380m/100g.
Beautiful pattern, is there a PDF to print out the pattern without all the pictures??? If so could you list it on the site with your scarf?? Thank you, Bonita
I would also love to have a .pdf version of this pattern! It ‘s so lovely, and would make a great project for a long plane ride I have coming up soon! However, I need the pattern printed in a more condensed form that doesn’t include all the pictures. Don’t misunderstand: I love the pictures! I just need a different, more portable format.
I will try to make it in pdf version and send you on email, I hope I will succeed it.
I will send you the pdf pattern on email.
I would love pdf format, too
Hello, you find the PDF at the end of the article, you can download from there.
Gorgeous! If you don’t mind, how wide did you make the pink one that is being modeled?
Thank you, the pink scarf I’ve made it 4 times wider.
When you say “4 times wider”, do you mean 4 x14 (56 chains wide), or 4 x 28 (112 chains wide)?
I’m a beginner crocheter, but I really like your scarf and want to give it a try. I will watch your video for assistance, as I need to see the stitches as they are being made. Thank you for sharing.
I think it was 112 chains, but my yarn was very thin. I recommend you to make a sample with your yarn: make 28 chains and work the pattern for 12 rows, this way you will see how the pattern looks like and how many chains you will need for a scarf.
Beautiful
Thank you!
