This beautiful baby blanket is perfect if you are a beginner and need to crochet something quickly. For this project I used YarnArt Dolce, this yarn is amazing and it looks so beautiful and is perfect for quick projects, you can crochet a baby blanket in just one day. My cat loves this blanket, is very soft, is like a caress for your skin.
This is single crochet pattern, the simplest pattern!
How to make single crochet stitch:
Make a foundation chain,insert hook from front to back in the center of the second chain from the hook.
Yarn over and draw the yarn through the chain, you will have 2 loops on hook.Yarn over once again, draw the yarn through 2 loops on hook =one single crochet. For the next single crochet insert hook in the center of next chain, yarn over, draw yarn through stitch, yarn over, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook.
Repeat across to end of foundation chain. To begin the second row, turn your work, chain one for the turning chain (does not count as a stitch), insert hook from front to back under the top 2 loops of the first single crochet in the row below, yarn over, draw yarn through stitch, yarn over, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook. Repeat this step in each single crochet across.
The dimension of the blanket is 91 cm length X 91 cm width (36 inches X 36 inches).
You can use this pattern to crochet any kind of blanket, not just a baby blanket, you just have to work until you reach the size you need.
The blanket sizing:
Baby blanket: 91 cm x 91 cm / 36″x 36″;
