It was love at first  sight when I’ve discovered this stitch and even it looks intricate is very simple to do. I love the texture of this little knots, it’s resemble stars. I think this pattern works very well for sweaters, jackets, throws, pillow covers, baby blankets.

For this stitch I recommend a DK yarn (I think light colors will reveal the stitch very beautiful) and 4,5-5mm needles.

Abbreviations:

K= knit;

P= purl;

Sts= stitches;

P3tog= purl 3 sts together;

MS= P3tog leaving sts on left needle, then wrap yarn around right needle and purl the same 3 sts together again- this time slipping the sts off the needle to complete the knot.
