The Cozy days crochet Vest is a thick, warm, and great layering piece for these chilly or cold days. What I love about this crochet vest is that you can wear it like a sleeveless jacket too or you can crochet sleeves, in this case, you will have great sweater weather. I think you can wear this Vest with just about everything, especially with jeans, my favorite look for the days spent on my couch crocheting and drinking coffee.

Using a super bulky and bulky yarn you’ll have this Cozy days crochet Vest ready to wear in just a few hours. This crochet vest pattern it’s a fast project to crochet and very easy, the pattern only uses the slip stitch, the single crochet stitch, and the half double crochet stitch. This project is perfect for a beginner not only because it’s easy to crochet it but because after you’ll see it finished you will have the feeling that you’re crochet skills are improving and you can really do this!

So don’t give up! practice every day if you can and you’ll become so good that even you won’t believe it! You can do it and you can be good at it!

What I love the most about this style vest pattern is that it has a minimum shaping and is crocheted in one piece, so is no need to sew any parts together (actually you’ll have to sew the shoulder, but that is all). Even if it’s an easy and fast pattern as a result you’ll have a beautiful and cozy vest for everyday wear.

This classic wool worsted combination of wool and acrylic gives you the best qualities from both fibers. The yarn consists of 50% merino wool and 50% acrylic, which, makes it easy to work with and, secondly, ensures that your projects will be nice and warm to wear. The merino wool makes the yarn breathable, as is common with natural fibers, while the acrylic grants the yarn an incredible color depth and makes the yarn durable. The result is a warm and wonderfully soft yarn that’s easy to knit. And the colors will stay beautiful year after year.  This yarn can be used for almost any type of clothing – e.g. sweaters, cardigans, ponchos, and, naturally, a wealth of different accessories and interiors. Here you can buy this great yarn:

25% alpaca, 25% wool, and 50% premium acrylic it’s durable and light yarn and the added acryl gives the yarn extra strength.

How to crochet the half double crochet stitch in the back loop:

Begin with any number of chains you need plus one chain and crochet the half-double crochet starting with the second chain from the hook.

Start the next row with chain 1 (don’t count as stitch).

1. Yarn over the hook and insert the hook in the back loop of the stitch of the previous row.

2. Pull a loop through the back loop of the previous row.

Now you have 3 loops on the hook.

3. Yarn over again and pull the yarn through all three loops on the hook.

4. One loop remains on the hook, and you just made one half-double crochet stitch. Repeat steps 1 to 3 for the next stitches.

The empty front loop creates a ridge on the side of the work facing you.
