Of all the cotton types, organic cotton is extra strong, soft, and incredibly durable. Organic baby cotton is an extra luxurious yarn it is environmentally friendly and it is vegan. Organic cotton is handled with care and is exclusively handpicked during harvest. This means that one can harvest it at the exact right moment when the plant is mature and has had time to develop optimally. The careful plucking furthermore leads to the fibers keeping their volume, tautness, and length. This results in one of the most delightful cotton yarns. Organic Baby Cotton is GOTS certified (CUC-TR-017 PRJ 805332/918191) which is your guarantee that the fiber has been manufactured with respect for the environment, completely without the use of chemical pesticides and artificial fertilizers.
About GOTS
The GOTS certification is an internationally recognized standard, which is used for the environmentally friendly and socially responsible production of ecological textiles. It stands for very high demands in all parts of the supply chain, from when the raw goods are harvested, to you having the finished product on your needles. You can read more about the GOTS certifications here: https://www.global-standard.org/

Crochet one round of single crochet stitches around the front panel and then around the back panel with black yarn. Crochet the stitches on the right side (in corners crochet 2 sc in one stitch). I like to crochet this round of single crochet because the edges look better. In addition, it’s easier to join together the two panels. Plus the neckline looks better too.
After you’ve crocheted the single crochet round for both sides join them together using the same hook and the black yarn crocheting single crochet stitches through both sides. Or sew together the front and back panels using the stitch you know how to sew. Then sew together the shoulders.
The sleeves:
With the black yarn and a 4 mm hook crochet 3 rounds of single crochet.
1. Round 1: ch 1 (don’t count as a stitch), sc around the arm hole, slip stitch to close the round.
2. Round 2: ch 1 (don’t count as a stitch), sc in every next stitch.
3. Round 3: repeat round 2.
Cut the yarn, secure the last stitch and weave in the ends.
The neckband:
With the black yarn and a 4 mm hook crochet one round of single crochet around the neckline. Cut the yarn, secure the last stitch and weave in the ends.
I added a few silk flowers made by my sister on the right shoulder. You can leave your top simple or you can customize it by adding any flower you have and can make: knitted, crocheted, or made from textile.
I recommend washing the knitted tank top by hand or on the washing machine at a maximum of 30 Celsius degrees. I prefer 20 Celsius degrees for all my knitted items. Block the top using your favorite method.
