Many times I had problems when I almost finished a project because I didn’t know what edge I should make for my new project and over time I’ve succeeded to gather a few beautiful edges, so, I’ve decided to share with you my favorite:

Do you have written inst for #6 it’s beautiful but I don’t understand it
Give me a few hours (I need to drink my coffee first) and I’ll write the pattern for #6 and I’ll leave you a message here.
Hello again, here is the written instruction for chart #6:
The chain row: start with 9 chains, (the last 3 chains you’ll count as a double crochet for the row 1).
Row 1: In 6th chain from the hook crochet: 2 double crochet, 3 chains, 3 double crochet. Double crochet in last chain from the hook.
Row 2: 4 chains; In the ch space crochet: 3 double crochet, 3 chains, 3 double crochet, then make 5 chains and go to the previous row and slip stitch to the last chain of the chain row (the one you count as a double crochet for row 1) in order to create a 5 chains space in witch you’ll crochet 10 single crochet; chain 1.
Row 3: (3 double crochet, 3 chains, 3 double crochet) all in the chain space of the previous row; then make a double crochet in the last chain of the “4chains” of the previous row.
Repeat the pattern from row 2.
If you have other questions, leave me a comment.
I love these edges! Any suggestions on how to alter them slightly on corners? I’m using one (#2) on a blanket. Thanks!
Thank you! For the nr. 2 I’ll try to make on the corners the 7 double crochet.
Very fantastic information can be found on weblog.
Thank you, I’m very happy you enjoy it.
I would like to learn to read these charts. I can only read patterns. Guess I need to work harder to learn.
I’m thinking to make a post about “how to read a chart”, maybe this way you will understand. In my opinion the charts are more easy to read, I love to work after a pattern.
