round crochet baby blanket

The Wild Tulips round crochet baby blanket is one of my favorite crochet baby blankets. The free pattern for the Wild Tulips round crochet baby blanket has written instructions, a chart, and a video tutorial.

This pattern is an easy-to-crochet baby blanket but is not a crochet baby blanket for beginners, so if you are a beginner don’t make this project your first big project until you didn’t practice the stitches first. Crochet single-crochet and double-crochet stitches, and be careful with your tension. The crochet tension is important when you crochet or knit, so you can use a crochet tension ring or a crochet tension holder at the beginning.

What I like the most about this pattern is that is so easy to choose the size. If you want your project to be a crochet baby blanket size you stop crocheting when you’ve reached the size you want, if you want a bigger size, a laphgan, or even a queen bed size continue crocheting. You don’t have to count the beginning chains, you don’t have to measure and calculate how many chains you have to start, for that reason this crochet baby blanket is the perfect project. And the best thing is you don’t have to crochet that infinite first row, which I hate so much to do!

I think this pattern would look beautiful as a rug too if you use thick yarn ( , or even a ). You can use this pattern for a table cloth too if you use

The dimension of my Wild Tulips round crochet baby blanket is 86 cm (34 inches) in diameter.
For my Wild Tulips crochet baby blanket, I’ve used:  400g of  Pure cotton (8x 50g) (50g= 170m/ 1.76oz= 185 yards) and a 3.5 mm hook.

cotton yarn

This is a very high-quality cotton yarn. This yarn is made from 100% combed Turkish cotton, which is soft, flexible, and exceptionally durable. Textiles in Turkish cotton stay beautiful for many years and only get softer with use. This yarn also excels when it comes to its absorbing powers, but is quick-drying at the same time. The color chart includes plenty of gorgeous colors, you just have to decide what color you like and get started. You can buy this yarn HERE:

For my project, I’ve used a Light Pink color.

You can skip the last 3 rounds and crochet just 47 rounds and then make 1 more round crocheting single crochet in every stitch as an edge. This is how I designed this baby blanket. But I’ve continued to crochet the pattern for two more rounds just because I wanted to use all the yarn I had. You can crochet as I did in the written instructions or you can follow the chart and crochet it just for 47 rounds.

Tie off and weave in the ends.
