How to crochet The Shell Stitch Fingerless Mittens- free pattern

For this fingerless mittens I’ve used a mix of 50% cotton and 50% linen yarn (50g) and 3mm hook.

A gorgeous cotton and linen blend, BC Garn Allino brings a matte finish and fabulous look for your autumn accessories.  Click here  or on the picture to go to the online shop for the yarn. Don’t forget to choose your country in order to see the prices in your currency.

Pattern Instructions:

For this pattern you have to make multiple of 6 chains plus 1.

The chart:

Repeat rows 3-6 until you reach the desired length, for my mittens I’ve crocheted 17 rows, but you can make them longer or shorter if you want.

How to assemble it:

Fold the rectangular that you just crocheted into half, sew the edges together, but leave a space for the thumb.

You can leave it like that or you can crochet a few rows of double crochet for the thumb. In the image below you can see how I did it:

The chart for the thumb:

I hope you’ll enjoy making this pattern, it’s very easy to crochet and your mittens will look gorgeous.
